Big News!
We are elated to announce that Rob Buelens has won a competition to design and create an artwork that will be on permanent display in front of vzw REVA TER LINDE in Puurs-Sint-Amands!
The artwork will be constructed and installed during the first part of 2026.
This organisation is a rehabilitation Center that focuses on children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and functional disorders.
Just like with a paper airplane, people in recovery often need a helping hand to move forward and be uplifted. This initial assistance results in a greater level of freedom and autonomy. Once the airplane leaves the hand, you don’t know where it will end up. But the greater the energy of the throwing, the higher and further the paper airplane floats. The folding of the airplane playfully refers to the development of human skills. With this work, we demonstrate the playfulness, creativity, and challenge that make this life a positive adventure.
The material:
The three airplanes will be constructed from steel plates, which are folded and welded into the shape of giant paper airplanes.
